The green and black streaking on the north and west faces of our homes isn't dirt. It's algae and mildew, and salt air plus our famous humidity make it grow back faster here than almost anywhere inland.
Pressure washing knocks the surface layer off and leaves the roots. It also drives water behind siding, chews up cedar shake, and etches stucco. Soft washing applies a biodegradable solution at garden-hose pressure, kills the organisms, and rinses them away — so the house stays clean months longer and nothing gets damaged doing it.

Green streaks that come back by August
If your house was pressure washed last spring and looks the same now, it was cleaned but not treated. Soft wash kills what's growing instead of just removing what's visible.
Cedar shake and stucco can't take pressure
Both are common across Eastern Virginia and both are damaged by a pressure washer. Soft wash is the only method that's safe on them.
The upper gable nobody can reach
It's usually the dirtiest surface on the house and the hardest to get to. The drone starts there.

Walk the house
We identify surface type, growth level and anything that needs protecting before a drop of water moves.
- 02
Protect the landscaping
Plants and beds get pre-wet so nothing takes up solution, and rinsed again at the end.
- 03
Apply, dwell, rinse
Solution goes on at low pressure and is given time to work. That dwell time is what kills the algae at the root — skipping it is why cheap washes don't last.
- 04
Final rinse, top-down
Drone handles the upper elevations, crew handles the ground floor.

Yes, when it's done properly. We pre-wet everything nearby so plants can't absorb solution, and we rinse the beds thoroughly at the end.
Typically a year to eighteen months in Eastern Virginia, depending on tree cover and which way the wall faces. North-facing walls under trees go first.
